Phonetic
Records and its musical cohorts
present:
Combining a unique acoustic
beauty with the modern minimalism of composers
like Morton Feldman and Phillip Glass, Chicago's Town and Country
presents
a remarkable listening experience both on record and especially in
a live
setting. Supporting these Midwestern originals are some of our
own.
Featuring maverick musician and instrument builder Frank Pahl, as
well as
members of the Immigrant Suns, the Scavenger Quartet combines
carnival
themes, musicbox whimsy, and thriftstore drama. Opening is Fred
Thomas,
the indiepop orchestrater behind Saturday Looks Good To Me, in a
solo set.
Doors at 8PM, 18+, $7.
